Following the launch of Lava Loops for iPad we are pleased to announce the release of Lava Loops for the iPhone. Described by one player as “seriously freaky and addictive”, Lava Loops for the iPhone has the same simple game mechanics and game modes found on the iPad, along with the option of larger tiles to accommodate the smaller screen on the iPhone, and the ability to shake the iPhone to get a completely new puzzle set. Lava Loops for iPhone is available now for US $0.99 on the App Store. In addition to the release of the iPhone version, Lava Loops for iPad has also received an update, bringing additional challenges and the new shake feature from the iPhone version.

We thought it was an apt time to launch an updated Nuevo Retro Games website and our new logo with the upcoming release of our first game on the iPad. The new site contains screenshots of our latest game Lava Loops. Available from December 20th for US $1.99.

Nintendo Presents Crossword Collection was released in Australia and Europe this month. Crossword Collection is a localization of Crosswords DS with new content.

Nuevo Retro Games will be relocating at the end November, trekking across the country from the East coast to the Pacific North West. We are looking forward to the change and commencing on a new path.

What a way to end the year, Crosswords DS was awarded IGN Best DS Puzzle Game 2008.

We made it to IGN’s top 25 DS Games Under $20 list this month.

Crosswords fans in Australia were able to put down the paper and pick up a DS to play this month with the release of Crosswords DS in Australia. The Crosswords DS Demo was also available for download this month from Nintendo Channel on the Wii.

Nuevo Retro Games was excited to see the release of Crosswords DS this month in North America. That was a high point that we didn’t realize would be topped in the same month when IGN awarded Crosswords DS the Nintendo DS Game of the month.
